VICTORY Arts Foundation

‘Victory Arts Foundation is our small way of giving back to the community what God has given us.’ Shiamak Davar

Shiamak Davar founded the Victory Arts Foundation (VICTORY) in 2004 to make dance accessible to the lesser privileged and those with special needs.

VICTORY makes dance available across age, gender, caste, class and ability, without prejudice. It provides a platform to address social causes and concerns, and makes dance a viable and respected career option.

Through its various programs, VICTORY has made dance acceptable and made people understand the power of dance to educate, entertain, empower, enlighten and enable.

VICTORY has touched the lives of over 10,000 individuals in over 200 NGOs/Institutes across 12 cities in India.

DANCE FOR GOOD

DANCE FOR GOOD is an innovative, viral volunteering program, which spreads joy to the old, sick or underprivileged through the power of dance performance.  Volunteer dancers (The Shiamak Davar Dance Company, The Shiamak Dance Teams, Victory Dance Team, Victory on Wheels and / or student groups) put on inspiring and entertaining performances for people in old age homes, NGOs, hospitals and destitute homes to put smiles on their faces and bring happiness into their lives.

The DANCE FOR GOOD program aims at:

- Sharing the joy of dance to heal

- Empowering performers with an opportunity to make a change

- Bringing a smile of people’s faces and giving them hope

- Giving an opportunity to people to take up a cause they support and give it visibility through dance

- Encouraging team spirit

- Reaching out to various locations and supporting multiple causes

- Bringing communities together through dance and the performing arts

- Creating awareness

The program works in two ways. The performers get a chance to DANCE at various platforms in turn doing GOOD for the community

The Approach
